MINERS AND OWNERS TO MEET.
LABOUR CIRCLES OPTIMISTIC. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.5 a.m.) Sydney, this day. The feeling in Labour circles is that Monday's conference of coal owners and miners' representatives will again be abortive, and that the miners are now in a stronger position to resisi a compromise than heretofore by reason of the stiff levies to be imposed upon all unionists by the Trade Union Conference for their sustenance.
