A great surprise was caused by the will of Mr Robert Mellwaine, a retierd farmer bachelor, who died at the Taihape public hospital last Thursday. Previously he was a patient in a private hospital at Taihape. He left an estate valued at £3OOO divided among four nurses at the latter hospital and also a Taihape bootmaker named J. Greenlees, a regular visitor to the public hospital. One beneficiary, a nurse named Mrs Masson, now resides in England.
