MAHARAJA OF BHARATPUR. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) Calcutta, March 27. A Press Association message received to-day from Calcutta announces the death' of the Maharaja of Bharatpur, who, at the outbreak of war, placed the whole of the resources of his State at the Government’s disposal.

i (The Maharaja of Bharatpur was born on October 4th, 1899. and was the son of Maharaja Ram Sing. He was educated at Mayo College, Ajmere, Wellington. He visited England in 1910 and was received by King Edward VII; whose funeral procession he attended. He was one of the pages of the King-Emperor and QueenEmpress at the Coronation Durbar at Delhi iii 1911. The State of Bharatpur contains 1982 sq. miles, and has a population of 550,000.)
