OTOROHANGA OPERATIC SOCIETY.

“A COUNTRY GIRL.” Theatre goers in Te Kuiti are assured of a treat next Thursday night, the 20th December, when the Otorohanga Operatic Society is producing “A Country Girl” in the People’s Picture Palace. “A Country Girl” has already been played four times: at Otorohanga, Te Awamutu, and Pirongia, and is universally acclaimed as the crowning effort of the popular Otorohanga Society. No effort has been spared in perfecting the production, and the Society has been very fortunate in securing the srvices of Mr. A. E. Manning and Mr. W. Blyth, of Hamilton, as producer and stage manager respectively. These two men have an intimate knowledge fo the play and how it should be acted, and have effected a marvellous improvement in the work of both principals and chorus. An orchestra of 12, under the baton of Mr. E. J. T. Moeller is another leading feature of this production, and several solo dances by dainty Miss Mavis Zellman lend a spice to the programme. Booking is now open at Swift’s, the prices being 3s and 4s. ~
