WOMEN’S CIVIC LEAGUE.

CHRISTMAS CHEER FOR HOSPITAL The Te Kuiti Women’s Civic League wishes to thank the members of the Te Kuiti Fire Brigade for the very commodious and useful cupboards which they have erected at the Fire Brigade rooms for the League’s use. The secretary of the League has received a letter of appreciation and thanks from the secretary of the Waikato Hospital Board for its effort in procuring, in connection Mr. N. Newcombe, a gramophone for the local hospital. The League’s “shilling levy” for Christmas "cheer for patients and nurses at the Te Kuiti Hospital, met with a good response, the sum of £3 odd being raised, which amouni has been handed over to Sister Swayne for the above object.
