Messrs R. M. Somerville and R. Ormsby returned to-day from a business trip to the East Coast.

Enquiries at the Aorangi private hospital to-day elicited the information that the condition of Mr B. Wolff, who is seriously ill at the institution, showed a slight improvement.

Sir James Parr and Lady Parr will leave Wellington by the Rotorua on Saturday of next week for London, * where Sir James will take up the position of High Commissioner for J New Zealand. *?
