New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report. - At tire To Awamutu sale on Thursday beet penned in more than average numbers, being mainly of good to medium quality. Competition was keen and all sold at advanced prices. A good yarding of store cattle met with a steady demand. Wo quote : Fat bullocks, medium weights, £ll 7s to £l2 Is, lighter bullocks £lO to £ll Is, fat cows £7 2s 6d to £8 7s Gd, light cows £5 5s to £6, rough fat cows £3 19s to £4 15s, young store cows £2 15s to £3 3s, aged icows £1 15s to £2 Is, 34-year-old steel's in forward condition £7 14s to £B, 24-year-old steers £5 13s, 15-months steers in low condition £2 12s, 20-months-old Jersey heifers in calf £4 5s to £5 15s, Friesian, heifers, good quality, £6 15s, weancr Jersey heifers £3, fat porkers £2 4s to £2 Bs, store porkers £t 10s to £J 14s, slips £1 2s 6d to £1 4s Gd, weaners 17s to £l.
FEILDING. Dalgelv and Co., Palmerston Noiitli, report having an entry of some 1200 lambs at their Foilding sale on Friday, the 22nd inst., and a small yarding of cattle. The following are prices realised ■—- Small B.F. lambs 12s 3d to 12s <d, medium do 17s 9d to 19s sd, very fair BF. lambs 225. medium W.F. lambs 18s Sd, store cows 27s 6d, forward cows £3, P.A. bullocks (good condition) 8s 9d.
SKIN, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., repoiH : - We held our usual monthly sale ol the above on Thursday, 2Jst inst., with the exception of oddments of wool that were held over. Sheep skins we have to report easier, both salted and dry. Hides were also a lilt 1 e easier. Calfskins sold on a par with last stile. Tallow still remains firm. Wo quote ■ Sheep Skins.—Crossbred medium to 11 Ad, coarse half wool 94d to Kid, lambs 9gd to 11,' t d, damaged and inferior s|d to Gd, salted and damp skins at each: half wools, goo weights, 8s 3d to 10s Gd; light 6s ito 7s 9d. Hides.—Ox, heavy 9|d, medium 9d. light 7d to Bd, cow (heavy) 7<l, medium Ggd, light 54d to Gd, cut and infern jr scl to Gfd, yearlings and kip to 9d, calf skins (good) 13gd, medium ] 2d, to 12|d, stained 11 gd to 12|d. Tallow.—ln casks, to £32 per ton; in it ins, £2B 10s to £3O 5s per ton. Horse Hair to 18d per lb. Rabbit skins 30d per lb.

New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, have received' the following cablegram from their London house, under date 20th inst.:— Tallow. —We quote : Present spot values for the following descriptions: — Fine mutton 45s Gil per cwt, good beef 45s 3d, mixed 11s Gd. Market active. Butter.—New Zealand, choicest salted, 168 s; do uusalted i76s to 178 s per cwt. Cheese.—92s to 94s per cwt. Market dull.
