Depredation is a handsome bay horse with quality pronounced. Of fine temperament and good constitution, he has proved himself to be a great galloper with plenty of staying power, and has won races from sis furlongs up to two miles. Amongst his many wins are the Auckland Cup (2 miles), Michelson Cup miles), and the Te Awamutu Cup (li miles). He is a grandson of the celebrated Carbine, and has all the qualifications to make him a successful sire, and breeders should not miss the opportunity of mating their mares with this great staying blood. Only a limited number of approved mares taken. Fee: £8 Bs, reducible to £5 10s if paid at the first service. Mares met when advised. Good grazing 3s per week.
