In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," and amendments thereto and all other Acts and authorities it in that behalf enabling the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of £70,000 (Seventy thousand pounds) for the purpose of distributing electrical energy in the Waitomo Electric Power Board District and for* carrying out such other Avorks, undertakings and purposes as are authorised by the "Electric Power Boards Act, 1918," and amendments thereto, including engineering expenses and the purchase of all necessary materials, goods and equipment, plant and land as set out hereunder : (1) For the erection of Transmission Lines and Transformer Stations and otherwise providing for the distribution of electrical energy throughout the Waitomo Electric Power Board District, including the change over of Te Kuiti, the purchase of the Te Kuiti Pilant and Reticulation, the purchase of Offices, Transport, Plant, etc., and for the payment of preliminary expenses and other expenses allowed by section 18 of the "Electric Power Boards Amendments Act, 1922," also the interest and Sinking Fund charges on the loan during the period of construction of the works for which the loan is being raised and the expenses of raising the loan and taking the poll in connection therewith £65,000 (2) For the installing of electrical and other equipment for Consumers and for the purchase of electricaj and other equipment to sell to Consumers as provided for under Sections 88 to 90 of "The Electrical Power Boards Act, 1918," and amendments £6,000

£70,000 The Waitomo Electric Power Board proposes further for the purpose of providing the required security and to meet the interest and Sinking Fund charges during the currency of the said loan which will be for a period not exceeding 36£ (Thirty-six and a half) years to make .an annually recurring rate of ljd (One penny farthing) in the pound upotn the unimproved value of all rateable property situated in the Waitomo Electric Power Board District as described in the third Schedule of the proclamation proclaiming such district an Electric Power District and appearing on page 622 of "The New Zealand Gazette No. 14," of the 6th day of March, 1924. In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," Public Notice is hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Wnitomo Electric Power District referred to above will be taken on Friday, the 6th day of February, 1925, between the hoars of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., except in the Boirough of To Kuiti, where the hours, shall be between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., upon tho above proposal. The Polling Booths will be situated at:— Te Kuiti, Municipal Hall, Rora Street. Hangatiki Hall. Waitomo Caves Store. Otorohanga Town Hall. Otewa Public Hall. Rangeatea Public Hail.
