The Daily Express Riga correspondent says the conflict between the extremist and moderate Trotskyites is more acute. Hundreds of Trotskyites and many of the secret police have been dismissed. Forty Trotskyites are arrested daily and sent to Siberia. Several garrisons mutinied as the result. It is reported that there are strikes in many places in the south, especially in the Don river basin. Martial law lias been proclaimed and troops rushed in.
