THE FINAL MATCH.

ENGLAND V." ALL BLACKS. AN EXCITING GAME. (Press Association.) London, January 2. The All Bracks achieved the great ambition of their tour by defeating England to-day at Twickenham by. 17 points (four tries, one of which was converted, and a penalty goal) to. 11 points (two tries, one of which was converted, and a penalty goal). They have thus gone through their programme without defeat —a new Rugby record. The scenes at Twickenham were unprecedented. Queues were formed in the early morning, and thousands were awaiting admission when the gates were opened. At 11 o'clock, an hour before the start, every inch of unreserved space was occupied. The weather conditions were considerably better than had bee anticipated. It was dull, but the rain held off. The ground had dried rapidly, although it was still on the heavy side. The teams had a rousing welcome. The cheers were renewed and swelled in tremendous volume when the Prince of Wales appeared. He was accompanied by Prince George. The Prime Minister, Mr Stanley Baldwin, received the teams on the ground. The attendance was then 50,000, which is a record for Twickenham.

The New Zealand representatives were:—

Fullback, G. Nepia; three-quarters, J. Steel, A. E. Cooke, K, S. Svenson; five-eighths, M. Nicholls. N. P. McGregor; half, J. Mill; rover. J. 11. Parker; forwards, J. S. Richardson, A. White, M. Brownlie, R. R. Masters, W. R. Irvine, L. Donald.
