THE ALL BLACKS.
MATCH WITH ENGLAND. WILL RECORD REMAIN UNBROKEN? (Press Association.) London, January 1. Intense interest has been aroused in the All Blacks’ final match of their victorious tour against England on Saturday. Local critics are decidedly pessimistic regarding the English team’s prospects of checking the New Zealanders’ unbeaten record. Whether the ground is wet or dry the New Zealanders are taking no chances. Team:— Fullback: G. Nepia (Hawke’s Bay.) Three-quarters: J. Steele (West Coast), A. E. Cooke (Auckland), K. S. Svenson (Wellington). Five-eighths: M. Nicholls (Wellington), N. P. McGregor (Canterbury). Half: J. Mill (Hawke’s Bay). Rover: J. H. Parker (Canterbury). Forwards: J. S. Richardson, (Southland), A. White (Southland), M. Brownlie (Hawke’s Bay). C. Brownlie (Hawke’s Bay), R. R. Masters (Canterbury), W. R. Irvine (Hawke’s Bay). L. Donald (Wairarapa). English critics pay a whole-hearted tribute to Nepia’s record in playing in every match. Cooke, I lie brilliant young Auckland back, and Mark Nicholls have now completely recovered from their injuries.
After llieir match with England the All Blacks will go to France by aeroplane.
