MARAKOPA DAIRY FACTORY.
APPEAL TO SUPPLIERS. HAS BENEFICIAL ItIiISULTS. With the exception of the firsl two shipments from Ka.whja at the beginning of this .season which were second grade, 'the whole of the shipments from the Marakopa Dairy Company to date have been first grade, and one superline. The directors decided in order to impress on suppliers the necessity for iirst-qualty cream to have a month's trial grading from Ist to 30th Nov. This had a most beneficial resl-.ilt, the butter for November averaging over a point higher, culminating in a splendid l grade of 93<» points for a Deeember shipment. The suppliers quickly grasped the boncfitis of the trial, as it is -well-known second grade butter is this season no use to a factory; all second-grade butter cm the London market is fetching twopence per lb iesis htan first grade. The Marakopa Dairy Co. has just paid out to its suppliers the second bonus of Id for season 1923-24 with the November payments.
