SCHOOL ESSAY COMPETITION.
CLOSING DATE POSTPONED. As a large number of scholars of tho schools ini the district are sitting I'Or matriculation during this week, it has been decided to make the closing date for the competition the 19th, instead of the 12th as previously announced. All papers must be in the hands of Mr Carnachan, of the Te Kuiti District High School, or forwarded to the Chronicle office on or before that date.
