PRICES OF FAT STOCK FOR EXPORT. The N.Z. Producers’ Board advises that the following prices are being offered April 3, 1924: Auckland: Wethers, 64/under 6d; ewes, 64/under 4%d; prime woolly lambs, 42/under 9d, 43/over B%d; second quality lambs S^d. Poverty Bay: Wethers, 64/under 6d; ewes, 64/under 4%d; prime woolly lambs, 42/under B%d. Hawke’s Bay: Wethers, 64/undei 6%d; ewes, 64/under sd; prime woolly lambs, 42/under 9%d; second quality lambs, B%d; prime ox beef, 22s per lOOlbs. STOCK REPORTS. TE KUITI. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., import having held their usual stock sale at Te Kuiti on April 2, 1924. There was an average yarding of sheep, which met with fair competition at late rates. Cattle were penned in large numbers, beef and forward conditioned bullocks meeting with good competition at late rates, while store cattle were dull of sale. Quotations: — Sheep: Fat ewes 25s 6d, fat lambs (woolly) 235, s.m. ewes 18s Id to 21s Id, cull ewes 13s 6d, 2-tooth ewes (small) 24s 7d, 2-tooth wethers (medium sorts) 23s 6d to 24s 3d, m.s. shorn lambs 16s to 17s 6d. Cattle: Light fat bullocks £6 2s, fat cows £4, 4-year forward bullocks £5 to £5 15s, 3-year forward steers £4 9s, store cows £1 14s to £2 19s. FEILDING. Messrs Abraham and Williame, Ltd. report on Feilding sale held on 4th inst.: Owing to the inclement weather, all the sheep advertised did not come forward. However, there was a fair entry of both sheep and cattle. Sheep sold well, lambs especially. Fat cattle sold freely, but stores were hard to quit. Quotations: Sheep: Fat ewes, light 21s to 23s 9d, fat 2-tooths 28s sd, heavy ewes 28s 6d, good ewe lambs 22s 9d, good wether lambs 18s to 21s, mixed lambs 14s to 16s Bd, small lambs 6s, empty ewes 17s to 19s 4d, low 10s 6d, wethers (small) 21s. Cattle: Fat cows £5 10s to £7 3s, 3,4, and 5-year bullocks £5 5s to £5 10s, 3-year steers £4' 12s, 18-months P.A. steers £3 15s to £3 17s, forward cows 30s to £2, stores 20s to 28s 6d, weaner Jersey heifers 25s to 355, dairy heifers to £6 10s.
