STOCK SALE REPORTS. WESTFIELD. I Messr* Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sal© of fat stock at Westfield on Wednesday, 6th inst., as under:— Beef .—A heavy yaoridSing; bidding was very erratic, but prices were about the same for good quality beef. We quote: Extaia choice ox 25s per lOOlbs, choice and prime 19s to 235, plain and unfinished 13s to 18s, prime young cow and heifer beef made from 19a to 22a per lOOlbs, others 13s to 17e. Sheep.—A shorter market sold at late rates. Best heavy prime wethers made from 31s 6d to 82s 9d, good honvy wethers 29s 9d to 31s, medium 27s to 295, unfinished 25s to 26s 6d, best heavy ewes made from 22s to 245, good ewes 21s to 225, medium 19s to 20s 6d, unfinished and store ewes 12s to 17s 6d. An exceptionally nice line of 2-tooth Southdown cross ewes from Messrs Cameron and Macaulay averaged 335. Pigs.—A good yarding sold at late rates. Choppers £2 10s to £3 10s, heavy and medium bacoraersi £3 5s to £4 Bs, light boconers and heavy porkers £2 5s to £3 4s, medium and light porkers £2' to' £2 14w. Calves.—A larger yarding, prices about the same. Runners £2 15s to £3 ss, heavy vealers £2 4s to £2 19s, medium vealers £1 12s to £2 Is, light £1 5s to £1 Us, -small 14s to £1 Bs, fresh dropped 3s to 6s. Lambs.—A fair yarditogi sold at prices about the same as last week. Best heavy woolly lambs 26s to 28s 9d, good woolly 23s 6d to 25s 6d, medium woolly 20s to 23s , light woolly 17s to 19s, unfinished 15s to 17s, best heavy shorn lambs made from 22s 6d to 255, good shorn 21s to 22s 3d, medium shorn 17s to-20s, light and unfinished 13s to 16s 6d.
CLAUDELANDS. The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report as follows: We held our fortnightly stock sale in the Olaudelauds yards on Thursday, 7th Ferbuary, where we had a. good yarding of beef and store cattle, whilo pigs and sheep were scarce. Best fat steers to £9 10s, liglit medium £6 14s to £7, heavy fat cows £4 10s to £5 Is, medium £3 to £4, fresh conditioned cows £2 to £2 15s, stores £1 to 30s, Jersey cross heifer calves 15s to 10s, small well-bred Shorthorn steer calves 15s. Good fat wethers made up .to 31s 6d, medium fat owes £l. Pigs": Heavy, baconers to £4 4s, good porkers to light baconers £2 12s to £2 19s, light porkers £2 5s to £2 7s, weaners 8s to 18s. TAIHAPE. At the Taihape sale on Wednesday, 6tih inst., there was a small yarding of sheep. There was a. fair demand for rape lambs and prices were slightly in favour of sellers. Other lines of stock sold at late prices. Quotations: .Small m.s. 2-tooth,s 12s, do 2-tooth wethers 16s> do ewes 16s Id, m.s. lambs 9s 2|d, good rape lambs 14s to 15s, MANGAWEKA At the Mangaweka sale on Thursday, the 7th inst., there was a good yarding of sheep, principally lambs, and a small entry of cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, and practically all lines changed hands at prices A 3 under: Cull lambs 3s 4d to. 6s, medium lambs 6s lOd to 9s 4d, B.F. lambs 14s, good W.F. Jambs 15s 3d, medium f.m. ewes 14s 6d, cull 2-tooth ewes 13s 6d to 14s, 2-tooth wethers 21s 6d, fat ewes 25s 6d, S.D. rams 5 guineas.
