THE LICENSING ELECTION.

ELECTION OF MEMBERS. For some time past there has not been any contest for the five seats on the Waitomo Licensing Committee, but there is every probability that there will be one this year. So far there have been six nominations received and it is rumoured that four othters are to be nominated.

The election, which is under the controlling authority of the Clifton County Council, will be held on 13th March, and nominations close on Saturday next. The district embraces the same as the Waitomo Parliamentary electorate, but there will only be half the number of polling booths as when the election was held in December last. All those on the electoral roll are entitled to vote on this occasion.
