The South Canterbury climate is truly a great change artist—on Tuesday the thermometer at Geraldine registered 93 degrees in the shade, and on Wednesday a cold southerly rain set in, making the conditions wintry, and bringing to a close the harvest operations which had been in full swing. One of our prophets was caught napping—his forecast for Wednesday being, "Weather continue fine and hot." His rival, the Government guesser, scored one with "cloudy unsettled weather with rain." -Tim aril Post.
