Public Notices. AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," by section 27 of "The Counties Amendment Act, 1913," and all other Acts and authorities it in that behalf enabling the Awakino County Council hereby gives public notice that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds for the purpose of acquiring harbour works to wit, the Marakopa Wharf at Marakopa, from the Trustees in whom the said wharf is now vested and proposes further for the purpose of providing the required security and to meet the interest and sinking fund charges during the currency of the said loan (which will be for a period not exceeding 36% years) to make an annually recurring rate of one sixth (1-6) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property situated in the Marakopa Riding of the Awakino County. It is also proposed to pay out of the said loan the cost of raising same, together with the first year's interest and sinking fund charges thereon. Dated at Pio Pio this 10th day of April, 1920. GEO. BROWN. County Clerk. NOTICE OF POLL TO BE TAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE LOAN. In accordance with the provisions of section 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," Public Notice is hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Marakopa Riding of the County of Awakino will be taken on Wednesday, the 12th day of May, 1920, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., upon the above proposal. The Polling Booths will be situated atr— Mr C. C. Reeve's Store at Marakopa. Mr Hally's Dwelling at Moeatoa. Dated at Pio Pio this 10th day of April, 1920. -GEO. BROWN, County Clerk.
