OTOROHANGA NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SOCIAL. A very enjoyable social evening was held in the Presbyterian Hall on Tuesday night. Owing to the stormy weather there was not a large attendance, but with games and competitions a pleasant time was spent. Songs were contributed by Mr Bell, Mr England, and Miss F. Falconer. Mr Falconer won the prize for the competition. LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY. Under the direction of Mr L. Henry convenor, a meeting was held in the Council Chambers recently to form a Literary and Debating Society in Otorohanga. Those present elected Mr V. H. Hall president, Mr E. Closey secretary and treasurer, and Messrs H. Y. Corbett and C. Millar a committee. It was decided to hold fortnightly meetings.
