Mr E. W. Burton, S.M , returns from Taifaape to-night. Mr Dunklay, who has returned to Te Kuiti aft«r four' years at the front, is about to take up his residence in Otorohanga.

Mr A. M. Stirling, manager of the Otorohanga dairy factory, has been appointed manager at the new Tuakau factory, and Mr Harris, the former manager, is returning. The Rev Mr McClement, of Otorohanga, leaves by the Niagara thia week for America, where he proposes to take up drogless healing. Mr A. Mill, who was Y.M.C.A. secretary in Trentham Camp, and was later on transferred to Featherston, is in Te Kuiti,"and with Mrs Mill, is the guest of Mr J. Nicholls. Mr and Mrs Hugh Mac Donald, who have been staying at Kelvin House, have gone to visit Mrs A. L. Hunt at her farm on the Pio Pio road. Mr Crawford Boles left for Hamilton this morning on a brief business visit.

Mr Henry Rothery left for Te Aroha this morning to attend the South Auckland Racing Conference. Mr C. J. Parker, sheep farmer, of Hawke's Bay, haa been visiting Te Kuiti. Mrs A. F. Howarth and Miss Howarth are visiting Hamilton. Mr McDonald, manager of the Aria dairy factory, who is leaving the district, wbs, on Tuesday night fare welled by the settlers and presented with a gold watch, Bnd a present was also made to Mrs McDonald.

Senior-Sergeant Eccles is in Te Kuiti to day. Be is staying at the Grand Hotel.

Sergt.-Major R. W. Hathaway left yesterday to attend a "refresher" military course at Narrow Neck, Dsvonport.
