SMALLPOX. SOLDIERS PROTEST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Oopyrtztu Received 8.55 a.m. London, June 9. The Ruapehu sailed for New Zealand with 530 troops and 180 women aboard. There were remarkable scenes on Saturday when the New Zealanders from the Ruapehu welcomed the British troops, who arrived aboard the Katoomba from Egypt BRITISH SUPPORTED. The British troops were ordered to a smallpox near Plymouth, and the Nsw Zealanders vigorously upheld the Britishers' protest on the ground that civilians, who had bsen vaccinated, were allowed to kc The Home authorities finally gave way. Six cases of smellpox amongst the troops and civilians were vaccinated.
