TIME WOULD TELL.

A girl baby was recently brought to a clergyman to be baptised. The latter asked the name of the baby. "Dinah M.," the father responded. "But what does the 'M.* stand for ?" interrogated the minister. "Well, I don't know yet ; it all depends upon how she turns out."

"How she turns out ? Why, I do not understand you." said the person.

"Oh, if she turns out nice and sweet and handy about the house, like her mother, I shall call her Dinah May ; but if she has a fiery temper and displays a bombshell disposition like mine, why I shall call her Din.ih Might."
