INFLUENZA IN AUSTRALIA.
170 NEW CASES IN MELBOURNE,

Melbourne, This Day. There are 170 new cases of influenza and thirty-four deaths. A meeting of the Board of Health expressed indignation at the manner they had been treated by the Government, alleging that that bod; had not been consulted by the way of reference in the measures to prevent the spread of the disease. One member said experts were of the opinion that the disease is not Spanish inuflenza, although the death rate is twenty-five per cent, above tbe average.
