AMUSEMENTS.

EMPRESS PICTURES. Picture lovers will be well catered for in to-night's new series of pic turea. The principal picture will be a sensational Vitagraph star entitled "Officer John Donovan." The staging and acting of the picture are said to be of the very highest order. The supporting programme will comprise comedy, topical, vaudeville, scenic, and dramatic films. For Tuesday night a play of exciting events of the deepest interest will be screened entitled "Sealed Orders," featuring a great naval battle spectacle. PEOPLE'S PICTURES. We draw attention to the announcement of the above pictures in our advertising columns in this issue. The company will he screening two splendid star films for their change programme this evening and Monday supported by good entertaining films. Complete change will be screened on Tuesday and Wednesday. A special star attraction, is to be looked forward to in the near future entitled "In the days of. Trafalgar." Don't forget that this programme is a double star ttraatcion.

RUNDLE BENEFIT. We are asked to state that the following additional prizes have been received, and are at present on view in Young and Co's. window:—Tin of tea, 61bf?, presented by A. J. Entrican and Co., Auckland; a truck of firewood valued at £3, presented by Ellis and Burnand, sawmillers; box of cigarettes pi'esented by Mr Abbott, Ohaupo; a beautiful doll presented by E. Pethetick, booksellers; four boxes of cigars from Mr H. Luks, Te Awamutu; eight lb tin of tea from Mackay andJ ones, auctioneers and seedsmen and land agents, Te Kuiti; handsome dressing case, presented by D. McCorkindale; a dressed sucking pig presented by Cotter Bros; £1 Is presented by the Great Northarn Brewery, Auckland; 10s 6d by Mr George Horner of the Grand Hotel; and a handsome nickle teapot and jug by Mrs E. A. Macdonald, stationer. AH these prizes have been allotted ti the various events to be competed for both in the procession and on the ground.
