APPEAL COURT ACTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association— Copyright Reeived this day, 9.15 a.m. Sydney, This Day. The High Court of Appeal delivered a judgment of great importance tc shipping. A seaman sought compensation from the Union Company foi injuries received aboard the steamer Moana, two hundred miles at sea on the return voyage from San Francisco to Sydney. The claim was based on the voyage being from Sydney to Sydney, therefore the ship was under Commonwealth law the whole voyage. The ompany held it was not liable to pay compensation until the vessel reached Commonweatlh waters. The Court upheld the company's contention.
