A GENERAL MEETING of all Ratepayers in the Waitomo County is hereby convened for FRIDAY, the 27th day of February next, at the Town Hall, Taupiri street, Te K-iiti, at 8 p.m., for the purpose of considering the advisability of forming a Ratepayers' Association. NOTICE is hereby give in accordance with section 117 of "The Countieß Act, 1908," "The Rating Act, 1908,', and amendments thereto, thßt it is the intention of the Waitomo County Council at its next meeting to be held on Monday, February 16ih 1914, to make and levy a Spe cial Rate of one farthing in the pound on tha Capital Valus of all ratable property within the Mangaorino Special Rating Area, such rate to become due and payable in one sum on the second day of Marcn, 1914. The Rate Book in connection with the Special Rating ar-'a may be seen at the County Office, Te Kuiti, during office hourß, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. P. MORA, County Clerk. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK XV., ORAHIRI SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR ROAD PURPOSES. NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work —to wit, the construction of a road in Block 15, Orabiri Survey District —and for the purposes of such public work the land desc;ibed in the schedule hereto is re quired to be taken. And notice is hereby given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Te Kuiti, and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the Baid land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the sxecution of the said public work or to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
