Mr Massey has received a cnble from 'Professor David expressing gratification at the prompt and generous response of the Government undertaking to send the Tulanekai with stores to the Macquarries for the Mawson expedition. The Tutanekai is expected to arrive at Wellington to-day and will be despatched as expeditiously as possible to tranship stores from the Rachel Cohen. She will probably sail about Tuesday, and will also carry twenty live sheep and a quantity of fruit. RELIEF SCHOONER'S INJURIES. Invercargiil, This Day. The relief schooner Rachel Cohen which was reported to have re sailed on Thursday for the Macquarries. is badly damaged. It is expected the repairs will occupy a fortnight. Joseph Hatch, lessee of the Macquarries, declares the schooner got within 20 miles of her destination when squalls blew her 3000 (?) miles out of her course. She was forced to put into Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island, for repairs.
