AN ARIA BANKRUPTCY.
Francis Kearns, labourer, of Aria, in his statement to the Official A asignes in bankruptcy, sets down his total liabilities at £195, and asßets at £3O. He states that four years ago he bought a mob oE cattle, and took them to a section he held near Aria. He did not pay for the cattle, but promised to do so as soon as he was able. All the cattle died before he had a chance to Bell them. Owing to an accident he Was in the hospital seven weeks last year, and his leg had not been strong since. He gradually got into debt, and his liabilities were being constantly increased by Magistrate's Court"costs, he being debitted with a long mileage each time. The cause of his bankruptcy was the death of the cattle, the accident to his leg, and the excessive sums caused by the Magistrate's Court proceedings.
