As the tenderers must specify the prices at which they will utilise each kind of stone, the Government will be able to make a choice when the figures are known, but it has been decided already that the very durable Coromandel granite will be used in the basement story, which rises 14ft from the ground. It is understood that no alteration of iuipc: ' ■•ac: hc.i ' :.-.jp. made in the design already described in print. The contractors a-e to complete the work within two years.
