Some diversion was caused yesterday afternoon on the drilling groundß when a female anti-militarist made her appearance before a squad of 200 youths and vehemently denounced militarism. Despite remonstrances from the officer she absolutely refused to leave the ground. An attempt was then made by the instructor to ignore the woman and continuo with the drilling, but the woman followed them around keeping up a running fire of comment, and occasionally hustling tho instructor out of her way. Usually the drill lasts till 3.50 p.m., but; ye?terday tho boys were dismissed at 3.30 p.m., whereupon tho woman expressed delight. saying she had routed the whole force.
