Early on Sunday morning John Fairley, alias Wilson, one of the prisoners who escaped from Palmerston North gaol a fortnight ago, was recaptured in a lodging house in Courtenay Place, Wellington. Fairley stayed four days at Palmerston, and finally left on foot. He walked across country, sleeping in hayetacke. On Saturday he took the train at Tokomaru to Wellington. He waa well dressed whßn captured.
