RECEPTION TO HON. MR HERRIES.

A meeting of representatives of the Waitomo County Council, Tei Kinii Boough Council, and Chamber of Commerce was held in Countv Chambers on Wednesday evening- ±hb Worship the Mayor presided. It was decided to request Mr Merries to visit Te Kuiti by the 2 train on Wednesday, March 19th, and spend the day in the .jßtnct. It w« pointed out that _if the Master adopted the suggestion he could be driven about and shown some of the surrounding country. Messrs A committee, consisting « Messrs Scholes, Berry, Mora Hardy Graham Somerville, Jones, Lamb Steel was appointed with power to add to the number. . , MrF E.Lamb was appointed secretary and Messrs Lamb and Mora were appointed to make arraneements for entertaining the Mimste'. . It was resolved to request all those who intended forming deputations to interview the Minister to notify the se relary (Mr F. E. Lamb) in order that proper provision should be made for all deputations. A further meeting of the committee is to be held on Tuesday evening next at the County Chambers at 8 o'clock. __ .
