SERVIA GIVES WAY.
CLAIM FOR ADRIATIC PORT. SIGNING OF ARMISTICE DELAYED. Ity Tclci,'nii)li."Prt'HsAKS<)ci:Uioii. -OopyriclU London, Tuesday. The menace to the pence of Europe which was caused by Sorvia's pernistent demand for a port on the Adriatic, in spite of Austria's direct, statement that alio would go to war rather than submit to thin, has been removed by Sorvia's declaration that the pressure of thw Powers proved too strong and that she will no longer insist upon territorial expansion in this direction. Russian counsels assisted Servia in this direction. The German Chancellor issued a plain warning to Russia when ho stated that Germany would go to war if any other Power intervened between Austria and Servia, and that the whole of the German people would be behind the Government. It is reported that the allies demand, as the terms of peace, an indemnity of no.arly fifty millions, in addition to the whole of Turkey in Europe, save Constantinople and a small strip of the coastline. The Turkish Foreign Minister believes that a solution of the trouble without further fighting is possible. Signing of tho armistice was postponed for a couple of days to enable the Greek delegate to obtain authority from his Government. The Turks have brought 80,000 fresh Asian troops into the Cbataldja lines, while tho Bulgars have met this by entrenching themselves six miles to the westward. Horrible massacres are' reported in Macedonia by the Armenians, who joined the Bulgarians as auxiliaries, and seized tho opportunity to take a red revenge for earlier sufferings.
