Sydney, Monday. Dick Artist, the sculling champion, when speaking at a social function, announcad that the had accepted a challenge issued by Barr, the English sculler, to row for the championship of the world and £SOO a-side on the Thames.

The race will be rowed at the end of August or early in September, and Arnst stated thit he had booked his passage to England by a steamer leaving Sydney at the end of March.
