Queen Alexandra, the Prince of Wales, and Princess Victoria boarded the Medina at Portsmouth and accompanied their Majesties to London on their return from the Delhi Durbar.

They met an enthusiastic welcome at Victoria Station, where Ministers and Ambassadors and representatives of the Dominions overseas participated in the welcome. Sir G. H. Reid's office was decorated with the emblems of the six States and the inscription, "Australia hopes to see the King and Queen." The New Zealand inscription was, "New Zealand welcomes their Majesties." The West Australian and new Tasmanian offices were decorated with flags.
