EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY. The; exhibition given on Monday night by the Empire Ficture Company was again well attended, and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. An attractive programme was represented including a picture of the big Delhi Durbar, and other subjects of interest, and was warmly welcomed by the audience. One Monday evening next a splendid programme will be presented, included in which will be a moving living picture of the big reagtta held at Mercer on Anniversarv Day. It wi'l show all the chief scene 3of the regatta, including the large crowd present, the buat races, Maori canoe races and various other interesting things. The picture was taken specially for the Empire Company, and will be the first of its kind to be shown before a Te Kuiti audience.
PRINCESS PICTURES. The above pictures will show tonight and to-morrow night at the Town Hall, when a programme of rare excellence will be given including the picture, "The Two Orphans," a film 3000 feet long. Mr Zainey has gone to a lot of expense to secure this picture, and it should no doubt draw large houses.
ORGAN RECITAL. Why shouldn't Te Kuiti have an organ recital, now that, like Auckland and other cities, it is becoming a progressive and powerful political centre? "Of course," you say; "but what about an organ and the organist?" Well, according to the advertisment appearing in this issue the authorities of the Presbyterian Church have arranged for both these essentials, and are anticipating a larga and successful gathering in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening next. The church has just imported a firstclass up-to-date organ, with all modern improvements and specially built for academy of music and recital purpose and are going to display the instrument's powers to the public in a fine programme of first-class music. Arrangements have been made with Mr Paul de Ridder, C.E., M.A.A. : late specialist to the London Education Board and English Nobility. No doubt the people of Te Kuiti will have the privilege of hearing a very special and attractive musical effort, and should not fail to embrace such an opportunity. The recital v.'ili ho interspersed with first-ciass vocal items by leading soloists. An entertainment |on these lines will be something eni tirely new to the experience ci Te | Kuiti, and it is hoped that the promoters will meet with every success. The proceeds will be devoted to ths church organ fund.
