An unfortunate occurrence prevented the Taumarunui residents! from hearing a speech from Mr Massey, leader of the Opposition, on Thursday evening on his journey from Palmerston North Mr Massey was carried past Marton Junction by the Taranaki train and missed the connection to Taumarunui.
