CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright Received March 7, 12.15 a.m. Melbourne, Last Night. A remarkably heavy storm occurred this afternoon accompanied by blinding rain. The streets are submerged and the railways in many places are covered. Trains are ploughing through the floods, and vehicles are axles deep. In many streets the water is over the footpaths. Races and all outdoor events are postponed. Considerable damage has been done.
