TE KUITI SPORTS CLUB.
A meeting of the above club was held in the "Chronicle" office on Sat- ; urday evening last, on which evening the nominations for the various athletic and wood-chopping events closed. Excellent nominations were received, which augurs well for the success of the forthcoming meeting. Messrs Walsh ana Julian were appointed to canvass the town for donations towards the club funds. As a large amount of money is given in prizes, and as it is thought that the fact of a very large number of competitors and spectators being brought to the town, must do good generally, it is hoped that a good response will be made to the appeal for funds. The next meeting will be held in the "Chronicle" office on Friday, 17th inst., at S p.m. sharp. i HANDICAPS.
