The American Federation of Labour declined to adopt a resolution centralising, in its own officials, the power of declaring general strike--. A resolution demanding old age pensions was defeated. A campaign to include women, office-workers, and stenographers as trades unionists, .is projected, and a forty-eight hour week for postal employees is demanded.
