The Waikato A. and P. Association's nineteenth annual show will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, November Bth and 9th, on the Claudelands showgrounds, Hamilton. The show has acquired a Dominion reputation, and entries have come from all parts of the island since the Main Trunk line j was opened as a through route a few years ago. There are numerous classes of entries for competition and the show may be strongly recommended to breeders of stock and sheep in the King Country. Schedules are obtainable from the secretary, Mr J. C. Potts, Hamilton, and entries close on Saturday, October 22nd, with him. The Department of Labour, says the "Dominion," expects daily to hear that arrangements have been made for the sailing of the first batch of 50 lads to be sent out to New Zealand by Mr T. E. Sedgwick. The chief difficulty which has hitherto stood in the way has been that of obtaining the necessary funds, as the Dominion Government has made it a condition that the boys shall land in New Zealand free of debt for passage money or anything else. As soon as the department receives word that they are leaving England, the employers to whom boys have been allotted will be advised. The department also has openings for suitable colonial boys at farm work, but few are offering, though the conditoins appear to be fair. Every one that works hard enough to perspire freely should wear nothing but the Roslyn unshrinkable pure wool flannel, "Delta" finish.*
