SCARLET TROUBADOURS.

The Scarlet .Troubadours visit Te Kuiti on Monday, April 4th, for one night only. They have had a most successful tour of the Colonies and are introducing a new form of musical entertainment which is now at its zenith in England. They maintain a high standard of vocal excellence, and supply an abundant fund of refined humour, sparkling wit, and clever comedy given in costume and character. It must be granted that too often when musical performance of a humorous character are presented to the public, the singing U of a very indifferent nature, music being sacrificed to alleged humour. Mr Branscombe's object has been to show how much more acceptable such music can be made when, interpreted by 'really good singers, and to carry this scheme into effect he has only, it is stated, included with the Troubadours, vocalists of refinement and repute. Whether the items be serious or humorous the same artistic finish will, it is promised, be found to stamp their efforts to amuse, 1 and to this and the novelty they offer in both costuming, acting, and singing, their musical number much of their success is attributed.' The Soi?jtfan iif rjb# : open '§£ Mc£gll3- : This attraction' will undoubtedly be the greatest in the amusement annals of Te Kuiti, and it is only on account of steamer alterations to Africa that this wcrld-famou3 organisation is visiting us.
