MR. ORMSBY'S DEATH.
Rumours of Foul Play. A rumour is in the district, chiefly arr.cr.i - the Maoris, that there was fcul play corrected with the death of the late Mr Jereirr.ah Ormsby. Representations have evidently been made ro the Police concerning the matter, as it is understood instructions have oeeo issu-.-d to delay the burial pending further medical examination of the he ::y. It it said that a man on the trait in which Mr Grmsby came to Te Kuiti on .Saturday last was heard to threaten tod: for deceased. tt is further stared that the man proceeded further than To Kuiti in the train, but v.-as seer, in the town on Sunday. It is understood that Constable Mar the vr rrcoceded to Qtorohanga today in order re nave the body examined.
