Splendid weather stilt continues in thi* district. "Carroll" did not pay as a visit, and we are now on the look out for "Buddo."

A pretty wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride's father. Mr W. G. Cotlett, of Kie Kie road, the contracting parties b'ing Mr P. A. Riddle and Mis* Alice Coltett. The Rev. G. Mears officiated. At the conclusion of the ceremony the happy coopte left for Rotorua. The road works were alt stopped •boot the middle of May, and the men thrown out of work have at! gone to ■well the numbers of unemployed at other places. Messrs Jensen Bros, sawmill is in full working order again after a short stoppage overhauling machinery, and erecting *a new vertical saw. etc. j Tbia mill is a great boon to the district and in the capable hands of the present j owners no doubt will prove an ex- j tremety remunerative coneern. The Roads and Bridges Department j haw erected ftve new bridges since January, and the men arc now on the Sixth Mr Egdar's energy and resourcefulness having overcome all difficulties in getting material to the various sites.

Mr Lcwia ha* the best wishes of the settlers for the success of his venture. awl it is hoped that he wilt be able to continue the regularity of the service as in the past. The coach has always been —in season and out of season - at the service of serious accident cases, and other forms of illness, when it was necssesary to reach a doctor as early as possible.
