The Maoris who recently interested themselves in the question of a Native hostelry in Wellington have not al? lowed the matter to rest. They have secured the co-operation of several l lie leading chiefs in the North and as a result of their deliberations, a financial combination was formed ■ inie time ago, which has achieved a definite result. The chief Te ! leu, of Taupo, and others, have ehased a property in Sydney street, Wellington, and it is their intention to utilise the large house thereon as a Maori boarding-house for the convenience of Natives visiting the Sznpire City.
