The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, report as follows : On Monday, September 24th, we held our Stock Sale and Annua} Hog* get Fair at Ohaupo. The" sheep attracted a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. All classes of store cattle sold well. Fresh 3-year steers brought from £5 15s to £7, 9-month to yearling steers made £2 5s to £2 12s, mi*eti year-fitogs £1 14s to- £l 10s, ''"' best heifers and cows £3 2s 6d to £4, cows near profit realised £5 6s to £6, although dairy stock was rather dull. The sheep elicited keen competition and all sold at high prices. 1200 woolly hoggets brought from 18s gd to 2Qs 3d' for. best stores", others i6> o.d "to 17s 6d.
