K.C. PERSONALS.
Mr R. Alexander is to be stationed at Te Kuiti as stock inspector. Sir John Gorst received a great reception at Te Awamutu last Tuesday. Mr J. Williamson, late of the Roads Department, is to receive a presentation from his fellow officers.
Mr W.J. Shaw was elected Chairman of the Kawhia County Council for the ensuing twelve months. Mr F. Sims, who for several years past has been clerk in the District Roads Department, has resigned his position. MrT. Burd, District Road Engineer, has now recovered from his recent severe illness, and returned to the King Country this week. Mv B. Hewitt has been elected Chairman of the Raglan County Gpuncil for the ensuing term, and ■Messrs Bankart and McGuirk representatives on the Hospital Board. In consequence of the re-organisa-tion of the Stock Department, Mr J. Kerr, who for some years has had charge of the King Country district, has been given charge of Waikato, and Mr D. Ross is to take charge of the Hawke's Bay district, with his head quarters at Napier.
