Mr F. J. E. Jollie, who recently returned from military service overseas, has taken up his new position as lecturer in horticulture at Massey Agricultural College, Palmerston North. Mr Jollie, who had had English and European experience, and holds the horticultural certificate of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the New Zealand Diploma, and the ‘Cockayne Gold Medal in Horticulture (1937), was in charge of the propagating department of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens prior to going on active service.
