KAIKOURA DAIRY CO.

JUBILEE YEAR. The 50th annual meeting of shareholders of the Kaikoura Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, takes place on September 4, it being the jubilee year of the company. Great strides have been made since the company started operations,, and now has an up-to-date factory with 181 suppliers. The aim of the directors was to produce 500 tons of butter for the jubilee year, but unfortunately, due to climatic and other considerations this objective was not attained. The nearest approach to the quantity was in 1942, when 459 tons were manufactured, falling to 439 tons in 1943, and 396 tons this year.
